We're currently recruiting for an Engineering Team Leader to join a well-established and highly respected FMCG food manufacturer based in Wembley. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased maintenance engineer with leadership experience to take the next step in their career within a fast-paced production environment.

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll be responsible for supporting and developing a team of maintenance engineers while remaining actively involved in maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement activities across the site. Working closely with production and engineering management, you will play a crucial role in driving performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support a team of maintenance engineers across daily operationsCarry out planned and reactive maintenance on production and processing equipmentDiagnose and fault-find on mechanical and electrical systemsCoordinate engineering resources to ensure effective delivery of maintenance activitiesDrive continuous improvement projects to reduce downtime and improve reliabilityMonitor engineering KPIs and implement corrective actions where requiredManage engineering stores and critical spare parts availabilitySupport shutdown activities and oversee contractor management when requiredEnsure all engineering work is completed safely and in line with company proceduresWork closely with production teams to maximise plant performance and efficiencyWhat We're Looking ForStrong hands-on maintenance engineering experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, or a fast-paced production environmentMechanical and electrical maintenance experienceProven fault-finding and problem-solving skillsPrevious leadership, supervisory, or team leader experienceExperience delivering planned and reactive maintenanceExcellent communication and team development skillsEngineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) preferredWhat's On OfferSalary up to £59,000
