About the OpportunityWe're seeking a Field Service & Site Execution Manager to lead field execution and on-site electrical and controls installation for industrial automation and material handling projects. This is a unique player-coach role that combines technical leadership with hands-on field support, overseeing installation teams, subcontractors, commissioning activities, and customer interactions to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll DoSite Execution LeadershipLead on-site electrical and controls installation activities for automation and material handling projects.Coordinate daily work between internal teams, subcontractors, customers, and other trades.Drive installation planning, execution, and issue resolution to keep projects on schedule.Ensure all work complies with project drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.Field Team & Subcontractor LeadershipLead and support field service technicians throughout installation, startup, and commissioning activities.Direct third-party electrical contractors and installation partners to ensure quality, safety, and schedule expectations are met.Coach and mentor field personnel while establishing consistent work practices and documentation standards.Monitor field productivity and proactively address performance or resource challenges.Technical Field SupportProvide hands-on technical leadership during critical project phases.Troubleshoot electrical and controls systems in PLC-based automation environments.Perform panel inspections, quality audits, I/O verification, and system validation.Support startup, commissioning, and customer acceptance activities.Assist with complex technical issues and customer escalations.Quality, Commissioning & Project CloseoutMaintain field quality standards and ensure accurate documentation throughout project execution.Review redlines, as-built drawings, and quality records.Lead installation verification, system readiness reviews, and punch list completion.Support successful project turnover and customer handoff.Customer & Site CoordinationServe as the primary on-site point of contact for customers, general contractors, and project stakeholders.Communicate project progress, risks, and recovery plans clearly and professionally.Participate in site coordination meetings and foster strong customer relationships.Safety & PlanningPromote and enforce safe work practices, including PPE, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and customer safety requirements.Support project planning activities, labor coordination, and site readiness before mobilization.Identify opportunities to improve installation efficiency and reduce rework through proactive field feedback.Qualifications7+ years of experience in industrial automation, electrical installation, controls, commissioning, field service, or related industrial environments.3+ years of experience leading field teams, subcontractors, or site execution activities.Strong ability to read and interpret:Electrical schematicsControl panel drawingsDevice layoutsIndustrial network drawingsInstallation packagesHands-on experience with PLC-based industrial automation systems.Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve technical issues under demanding project schedules.Experience managing subcontractors while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, documentation, and schedule performance.Excellent communication and leadership skills with customers, field personnel, and internal teams.Willingness and ability to travel 60-80% based on project requirements.Why Join Us?Work on cutting-edge industrial automation and material handling projects across a variety of industries.Join a collaborative team where your technical expertise and leadership directly influence project success.Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package.Opportunities for career growth, leadership development, and continued technical learning.A culture that values teamwork, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.Employee events, volunteer opportunities, and a supportive work environment that recognizes and celebrates success.
