Key Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on electrical and technical support for automated warehousing and materials handling systems
Respond to system breakdowns, carry out shutdown maintenance, and perform regular preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and ensure operational continuity
Complete all assigned work through the site's Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), updating with accurate data, fault comments, and spare part usage
Collaborate with internal and external teams, including global engineering and helpdesk support, to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex electrical and system-related faults
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending system enhancements and supporting implementation of upgrades
Support and mentor other technicians and apprentices, promoting a high-performance, safety-first culture on-site
Maintain compliance with AS3000 wiring standards and all relevant WHS, site-specific, and electrical safety procedures
Ensure equipment repairs and installations meet OEM standards, and that critical spares are monitored and correctly stocked
What You'll Bring:
Current Electrical Licence (NSW or transferable from another state - essential)
Minimum 2 years' experience in automated environments, ideally in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing or distribution centres
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills in mechatronic systems, including PLCs, VSDs, sensors, and relay logic
Solid understanding of SCADA and automated control systems
Ability to read, interpret, and work from technical electrical schematics and manuals
Hands-on experience with electrical maintenance, installations, upgrades, and safety isolations
Familiarity with CMMS systems and comfortable using digital tools for maintenance tracking and documentation
Effective communication and customer service skills - ability to liaise with clients, suppliers, and site stakeholders professionally
Team-oriented, adaptable, and proactive with a passion for problem-solving
Post-trade qualifications in pneumatics, hydraulics, or automation will be highly regarded
