Mechanical Fitter NSW
Are you a mechanically skilled technician with a passion for automation and maintenance? This is your opportunity to step into a stable, long-term role supporting advanced automated systems within a state-of-the-art facility in Western Sydney.
About the Role:
As a Mechanical Resident Technician, you'll play a critical hands-on role in maintaining and troubleshooting automated material handling systems. You will be embedded on site and work closely with both local and international support teams to ensure maximum system uptime and optimal performance.
What You'll Do:
Deliver technical support during breakdowns, shutdowns, and preventative maintenance activities.
Complete all scheduled CMMS maintenance tasks on time and with accuracy.
Ensure all maintenance and repairs meet OEM standards.
Train new technicians and support the local Site Manager and Team Leaders.
Liaise with remote support and R&D teams to troubleshoot and suggest improvements.
Accurately log work performed, spare parts used, and recommend stock adjustments.
Collaborate with site operations to ensure smooth integration with production.
Maintain a safe and efficient working environment and champion safety protocols.
What You'll Bring:
A Certificate in Mechanical Trade (essential) Pneumatics & Hydraulics certification (advantageous).
At least 2 years of experience working in automation or advanced warehouse systems.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding experience in mechatronics and mechanical systems.
Solid understanding of CMMS and the ability to work independently under pressure.
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
Great communication skills and a customer-first approach to service delivery.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
