Project Manager
Reports To: Head of Project Delivery
Location: Brisbane, Australia

Purpose of the Role
The Project Manager provides professional project management services to support the development, award, and successful delivery of automated solutions for existing and new customers. They are the primary contact for the Company's clients and third parties and have the direct responsibility, authority, and accountability for ensuring that the work is undertaken in accordance with the client and Company specifications and processes.

The Project Manager provides leadership to the project core teams and the business to ensure contracts are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed specifications so that the Company exceeds customer expectations and satisfies contractual obligations.

Contribution to Corporate Success
The Project Manager is accountable for the successful delivery of customer projects from initial support to the sales team through to final acceptance by the customer and handover to the Company's ongoing services team where required. They are responsible for delivering projects safely, within budget, to the agreed schedule, to the expected quality, and to the complete satisfaction of the customer.

The Project Manager's performance contributes to the profitability of the company and supports continued business with the client.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Lead automated warehouse projects, adhering to the project management reporting and financial controls processesManage the commercial and technical risks of the projectProvide leadership and support to the project core teamEnsure Health, Safety, Environment and Wellbeing policies are implemented at project sites, consistent with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Work Health and Safety Regulations 2011 (or the applicable state or territory equivalent), and that the Company meets its duties as a person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU)Ensure project resources and costs are within agreed budgets and timescalesGenerate the integrated project plan and agree work stream plansDeliver the project management processes, including project reporting and financial controlsEnsure that project implementation objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with Company quality and safety proceduresEnsure compliance with quality processes and be accountable for the maintenance of the registers and master files for the projectBe the primary customer interface on a day-to-day basisManage project issues in a timely mannerManage proposed changes to the agreed project scope, timescales and budgetsEnsure project completion, acceptance and handover criteria have been achieved as per the Company's contractual obligationsDefine the project meetings schedule and the lines of communicationCoach and mentor other project managers and project team members in the business where appropriateContribute to the development of project management capabilities and to defining service offerings to the businessEnsure compliance with Company policies and guidelines, including engagement of Business Support Functions such as Global MobilityIdentify project risks and determine mitigation actions or contingency plans, with timely reporting and managementOther tasks as directed by your Line Manager. Key Requirements

Required

Experience managing projects in an engineering, manufacturing or similar industryArticulate, with good customer-facing and stakeholder management skillsProven ability to lead project teams in a technical environmentBackground in the engineering automation industryAbility to work away from home across Australia on average 25% of working days a year, with flexibility during peak periodsCurrent Australian driver licenseGeneral Construction Induction Card (White Card) or willingness to obtain before site attendanceRight to work in Australia

Preferred

History of working on high-complexity, high-value projectsFormal project management qualification and exposure to formal methodologies, for example PMP (PMI), PRINCE2, or AIPM certification (CPPP / CPPM)Degree qualification or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or similar; eligibility for Engineers Australia membershipWorking knowledge of Australian contract frameworks (for example AS 4000 / AS 2124) and security of payment legislation
