## The Role
As a Mechanical Shift Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability of critical plant and equipment within a heavy industrial environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Preventative and corrective maintenance on plant and equipment
* Mechanical fault finding and breakdown response
* Supporting commissioning and ramp-up activities of new equipment
* Performing inspections and maintenance activities to maximise equipment uptime
* Working within a shift-based maintenance team
* Following safe work procedures and site safety standards
* Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the site
## About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Mechanical Fitter trade qualification (Cert III or equivalent)
* Experience within industrial, manufacturing, processing, logistics, or heavy industry environments
* Mechanical fault-finding and breakdown maintenance experience
* Strong understanding of preventative maintenance principles
* Ability to work rotating day and night shifts
* Commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
Highly regarded experience includes:
* Conveyors and materials handling equipment
* Rotating equipment and gearboxes
* Hydraulics and pneumatics
