Job Opportunity: Electrical Technician - FMCG | Wacol Location | 8-Day Fortnight

Key Responsibilities
Respond to breakdowns in a timely, efficient, and safe manner
Execute preventative and corrective maintenance tasks using the MEX system
Troubleshoot, repair, and improve production and processing equipment to reduce downtime
Support the continuous improvement of plant systems and infrastructure
Assist with managing site spares and maintenance documentation
Ensure compliance with GMP, BRC, WQA, HACCP, and WHS standards
Support operator training and develop effective basic fault-finding practices
Participate in safety meetings, risk assessments, and Zero Harm initiatives
What We're Looking For
Trade qualified Electrical Fitter/Mechanic with a current QLD licence
Strong knowledge of PLC/VSD systems, industrial automation, and control systems
Experience in preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and electrical fault-finding
Previous work in FMCG or food processing environments is highly regarded
Strong understanding of Australian electrical standards, safety regulations, and plant compliance
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings
Proven ability to manage small projects and work across departments to meet deadlines
Great communication skills, proactive problem-solving mindset, and a strong team player
Desirable Licences/Qualifications
EWP and Working at Heights
Confined Space Entry
HACCP/GMP understanding
WHS awareness and Zero Harm commitment
