We are currently seeking PLC Programmers and Commissioning Engineers to support a series of battery manufacturing projects across Germany and the USA.
The projects offer opportunities for engineers with a range of experience, from machine commissioning and production support through to full PLC software development.
ResponsibilitiesDepending on your experience, responsibilities may include:
Commissioning automated machinery and production equipmentCommissioning Profinet and EtherCAT networksTesting and validation of machine safety systemsCommissioning servo drives and motion control systemsMachine calibration and setup activitiesIntegration with master control systems and external equipmentCommunication with vision systems, lasers and other third-party devicesTroubleshooting and fault finding during commissioningProduction support and optimisationPLC software developmentHardware configurationSafety software developmentDevelopment of manual and automatic machine functionsSequential programmingHMI / visualisation developmentTechnical documentation and operating instructionsRequirementsExperience with Siemens TIA Portal and/or Beckhoff TwinCAT 3Previous experience within automated manufacturing environmentsUnderstanding of machine commissioning and industrial automationAutomotive or battery manufacturing experience would be advantageousEnglish language skills (minimum B1 level)Project InformationBattery manufacturing projects across Germany and the USAMultiple deployment options available depending on project requirementsOpportunities for both Germany-based and USA-based assignmentsSome assignments may involve longer stays in Germany with the potential for subsequent deployment to the USAOther assignments may involve shorter USA deployments of approximately 3-4 weeks with breaks between rotationsLonger-term USA deployments are also anticipated, with some assignments expected to run for several monthsFlexibility and willingness to travel internationally is essentialFlexible rotation patterns availableStrong potential for long-term extensions due to ongoing project demand
