Process Engineer (Cell Assembly)
Teverola, Italy
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer specializing in Cell Assembly processes to join our client, an established Battery company in Italy. In this role, you will be responsible for lithium-ion cell assembly process optimization including stacking/winding, welding, electrolyte filling, sealing, and inspection processes.
Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize battery cell assembly processesManage process parameters for: Stacking process, Tab welding, Electrolyte filling, Sealing processAnalyze process variation and improve process capability (Cp, Cpk)Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to minimize downtime and improve yieldAnalyze process data and identify opportunities for process improvementSupport process validation, qualification, and scale-up activitiesEnsure compliance with quality, safety, and manufacturing standardsAssist in developing and maintaining SOPs, work instructions, PFMEA and process documentationParticipate in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve production and quality targetsDefine and maintain process specifications and control plansPerform root cause analysisLead equipment commissioning and qualificationWork with Quality, Production and R&D teamsManage data analysis for process correlationRequirements:
3+ years' experience in lithium-ion battery electrode manufacturingExperience with process improvement tools: SPC, DOE, FMEA* Bachelor's or master's degree in:Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Materials Science/Battery-related fieldsStrong problem-solving capabilityExperience in lithium-ion battery mass production environmentKnowledge of: PFMEA, 6 Sigma, SPC, 8D problem solving, Lean ManufacturingGood communication skills in EnglishAbility to work in a multicultural environmentExperience in battery Gigafactory ramp-up (preferred)Experience with battery manufacturing projects (preferred)Auto cad, 3D modeling (preferred)Reasons why you should apply:
