To project manage KNAPP Group projects ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the customers agreed specification and scope.
The position will be supporting projects up to £20m within our global projects team and UK projects will be assigned on availability and suitability.
This individual will support the sales team in walking through prospective customers from sale to handover of a completed installation to the customer services team. The position will be for projects based mostly in the UK however it may be necessary to work outside the UK as and when required.

Manage the tasks of procurement to ensure that lead times are in line with the issued project programme and contract
*
Issue project documentation to the customer for review and approval such as the technical specification, function design specification, power requirements etc
*
Ensure that the customer is correctly invoiced throughout the project to the agreed contractual payment schedule as appropriate
*
Coordinate deliveries of materials to site
*
Develop and ensure detailed test and commissioning plans are created and distributed as appropriate
*
Create and manage the defects log with the customer to ensure that any defects that are present during the installation and commissioning are captured and that a clear and agreed resolution date
*
Ensure any project milestones or stage gates are signed off by the customer as required, for example static acceptance, handover, takeover etc
*
Ensure that the KNAPP site manager has adequate support to fulfil their role in line with CDM regulation 2015
*
Produce Risk Assessments & Method Statements for the KNAPP installation works
*
Ensure that full training is given and documented to the customers' personnel
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

The Role

Key Responsibilities
*Provide full project leadership and accountability for profitability, risk management, performance, and stakeholder satisfaction across multiple concurrent baggage handling projects.
*Develop and manage project master schedules, milestones, resource plans, and critical-path activities; proactively re-plan to mitigate schedule risks.
*Lead contract administration, change order management, claims mitigation, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
*Oversee project financials including forecasting, budgeting, margin protection, and monthly reporting to senior leadership.
*Act as the primary client escalation point; build trusted executive-level relationships and deliver regular project briefings, including executive summaries and health reports.
*Lead and mentor multidisciplinary project teams and less-experienced project managers; establish clear priorities, resolve conflicts, and promote effective cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications / Requirements

*Strong track record managing subcontractors, consultants, multidisciplinary teams, and complex stakeholder groups in large project environments.
*Demonstrated ability to manage contracts, change control, claims, and commercial risks.
*Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills; comfortable presenting to executive-level audiences.
*Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%, primarily during weekdays.


Preferred

They have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join their team. This position is well-suited to a customer-focused, proactive and highly organised person who is looking to lead complex automation projects from concept through successful delivery while making a real impact on customer operations.

This position is based in the Project Management department and answers to the Senior Leadership Team. You will manage multiple warehouse automation projects through their full lifecycle, coordinate cross-functional teams and third-party vendors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:
Manage 3-5 concurrent warehouse automation projects from kickoff through to go-live and closeout.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules and budgets.
Coordinate internal teams, customers and third-party vendors to achieve project milestones.
Manage project scope, schedule and cost while controlling project risks.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships at all organisational levels.
Monitor project performance, financials and key deliverables.
Resolve issues quickly and escalate critical risks where appropriate.
Ensure exceptional project delivery and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline (PMP certification advantageous).
7+ years project management experience within warehouse automation, logistics, software, manufacturing or e-commerce distribution environments.
Proven experience managing large, multi-site projects.
Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets.
Ability to interpret automated system layouts and design drawings.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
Self-motivated with excellent organisational, problem-solving and leadership abilities.

This position is well-suited to an experienced and commercially minded project leader who is looking to manage complex automation projects while helping shape processes and mentor others within a fast-paced, evolving environment.

This position is based in the Project Management department and reports to the Head of Project Management. You will lead large-scale automation projects from sales handover through to final acceptance, ensuring successful delivery while managing customer relationships, project finances, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:
Lead the full project lifecycle, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and customer satisfaction.
Coordinate engineering, software, supply chain, installation partners, and service teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
Manage project budgets, forecasting, margin protection, change orders, and commercial performance.
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships while acting as the primary point of contact throughout project delivery.
Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining structured governance and reporting.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing project tools, templates, and delivery processes.
Mentor and support Project Managers, promoting best practices across the project management function.

Requirements:
Proven experience managing large, complex automation, logistics, or material handling projects.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
Commercial and financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and contract management.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical teams, customers, and senior stakeholders.
Experience with project governance, risk management, and change control.
Technical understanding of automation systems, warehouse technologies, IT integrations, and project management tools.
Experience with AutoCAD and project management software is advantageous.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing organisation with evolving priorities.
