Stores Operatives required to work for a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation based in Hayes. We are looking for an effective and well organised individual to work within the stores team to be responsible for handling material supplies. You will be involved in all receiving and storing of materials into the site.
The role will work closely with the production team to ensure the smooth running of materials stores, to ensure the Manufacturing Team, external customers etc are well supported with all the materials needs. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and background of working within and engineering/ manufacturing stores/ warehouse environment.
This is a very physically demanding role and will require safe movement practices of heavy or awkward objects and a lot of time spent moving around the site
Variable days - Rotating shift alternating from 6am -2pm then 2pm - 10pm. This would include shift allowance
Responsibilities
- Efficiently pick, pack, and return parts on time.
- Manage material issuance and dispatch per company procedures.
- Follow Goods In/Out processes and book spare parts accurately.
- Support LEAN improvements and meet department KPI targets.
- To be a part of the" Stores Improvement Project".
- Receive and manage materials.
- Log and locate all materials effectively.
- Ensure all materials are in correct location.
- Maintain stores environment to company standards.
- Kits parts to production lines and for Customer orders.
- Shuttling parts from the warehouse to various locations on site.
Skills
- Experience in a mature OEM production environment, specifically in materials handling or controller role
- Familiar with ERP systems operation
- ability to utilise computer systems
- Good attention to detail
