Job Role: REME Artificer

Location: Bristol - Hybrid (2-3 days in office per week)

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience

Proactive are currently in search of multiple REME Artificers to start work for a client in Bristol. This is a permanent position offering ample opportunities for progression and development. The ideal candidate will have come from a defence or service background looking to take the next step in their career.

Job description

You will be responsible for maintaining the availability, reliability and safety of complex equipment throughout its service life. The work can include engineering investigations, maintenance planning, technical support and identifying improvements to equipment reliability.

Key responsibilities:

• Investigate equipment failures and recurring technical faults.
• Analyse maintenance records and identify reliability problems.
• Develop and review maintenance and repair procedures.
• Provide technical advice to maintenance teams and equipment users.
• Support equipment upgrades, modifications and configuration management.
• Review engineering documentation and maintenance standards.
• Assist with technical investigations, quality assurance and safety compliance.

Experience and skills sought:

• Significant mechanical, electrical or electro-mechanical engineering experience.

• Practical equipment maintenance and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals.
• Experience supporting complex equipment and managing technical problems.
• Relevant engineering qualifications or demonstrable equivalent experience.
