Sales Engineer - Robotics / Cobotics

Our Client:
Our client is a highly respected provider of industrial automation products and solutions. Under the leadership of an impressive management team, they are in high-growth mode with both strategic plans and commercial investment to grow across both industrial automation and robotics channels. With this in mind, an immediate opportunity has been created for a Sales Engineer to join their Melbourne operations.
Reporting to the GM and responsible for driving the sales of their cobots to end-clients for a variety of applications including welding and intralogistics / palletising, the new appointee will:
- Qualify leads from existing customer relationships (20%)
- Follow up on inbound business enquiries generated by existing and ongoing company marketing activities
- Develop and execute sales plans to identify and target new clients
- Meet customers both in Victoria and interstate to understand their needs, propose tailored solutions and close cobot sales (typically $100k - $150k per sale)
- Identify and proposed innovative opportunities for the application of the company's cobotic solutions
About you:
With an impressive history of selling automated capital equipment to end clients in industrial automation, it is likely that you have tertiary engineering qualifications or have previously worked in a client-side environment.
In addition you have/ are:
- +5 years experience of B2B automation sales to FMCG, intralogistics, welding, manufacturing engineering clients (or similar)
- Proven track record of smashing sales targets
- Great written and verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Experience in building sales strategy and qualifying business leads
- Experience in developing existing customer relationships and comfort in prospecting for new business
- Full Australian Driver license
- Open to interstate travel
