Job Role: Machine Operator

Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester

Rate: £14.00 £16.50 per hour

Role overview

Support day-to-day manufacturing operations by operating production machinery, maintaining product quality and ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production machinery in line with training and work instructions.
  • Feed materials into machinery and remove finished products.
  • Carry out visual quality checks and report defects.
  • Monitor output and flag machine faults or production issues.
  • Follow health and safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Maintain a clean, organised production area.
  • Complete basic production records and work effectively as part of the manufacturing team.

Candidate requirements

  • Previous machine operating or manufacturing/production experience preferred.
  • Good attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
  • Reliable attendance and timekeeping.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work to production targets.
  • Comfortable with a hands-on manufacturing role.
  • Flexibility to work the required shift pattern, once confirmed.
