We are currently recruiting on behalf of an electronics manufacture and due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Quality Engineer to support and continually improve their Integrated Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO standards.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and continually improving the Integrated Quality & Environmental Management System in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949.
  • Planning, conducting and supporting internal audits, while acting as a key point of contact during external certification and customer audits.

  • Monitoring quality KPIs, analysing trends and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
  • Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), verification and validation activities, engineering changes and customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve processes, reduce defects and enhance product quality.
  • Ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory and industry quality requirements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience as a Quality Engineer or Quality Assurance Engineer within a manufacturing environment, ideally electronics or electrical manufacturing.
  • A good understanding of ISO 9001, with experience of ISO 14001 and/or IATF 16949 being highly desirable.
  • Experience planning, leading or supporting internal and external audits.
  • Strong problem-solving skills using recognised quality methodologies such as 8D, Fishbone (Ishikawa), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and CAPA.
  • Experience using quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, 5S and Kaizen.
  • Knowledge of ESD control standards and electronics workmanship standards such as IPC-A-610 would be advantageous.
  • A Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Electronics, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or a related discipline.
  • Lead Auditor qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation where you'll have the opportunity to influence quality standards, drive continuous improvement and play an important role in supporting the development of innovative electronic products.
