Portfolio Manager Software - Strategic Role, International Impact & Career Development

Our client is a leading international provider of intralogistics and warehouse automation solutions. They are currently seeking a Portfolio Manager Software to play a key role in the strategic development of their software portfolio, with a particular focus on warehouse management applications. This position is ideal for a visionary and commercially minded professional who enjoys analysing market trends, defining product strategies, and working closely with stakeholders across business, technology, and development teams.

Reporting into the software portfolio leadership function, you will help define the future direction of software offerings, identifying market opportunities, evaluating customer needs, and developing long-term roadmap strategies that maintain our client's competitive advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the strategic development of the software portfolio
  • Analyse customer, industry, technological and economic requirements
  • Create medium and long-term software portfolio roadmaps
  • Conduct competitor and market analyses to identify opportunities and emerging trends
  • Define new product requirements and support innovation initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with portfolio management, development teams and market representatives
  • Support business development and sales teams in evaluating new business models
  • Assess industry and technology trends and identify potential technology partnerships
  • Support market observation and customer-focused strategic activities

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Software, Project Management, R&D or a related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of experience within business development, B2B sales, marketing, technology, or a related field
  • Strong commercial awareness and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Experience in project management would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of intralogistics or warehouse automation is beneficial
  • Fluent English(German - advantage)
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20-30% of the time
