They have an exciting opportunity for a Network Specialist to join their development team. This position is well suited to a technically driven and analytical professional looking to work on modern automation systems while helping shape the future of industrial networking solutions.

This position is based within the Product Development environment and will see you taking ownership of network design and architecture for automated customer systems. You will design industrial control networks, define network standards and topologies, and ensure seamless integration between hardware and software technologies across the company's product portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure and maintain industrial control networks and automation infrastructure
  • Plan and develop network solutions for PROFINET, Ethernet-based systems and IIoT applications
  • Define network standards, topologies and technical specifications
  • Support product development teams on networking-related topics
  • Develop and enhance network technology across the product portfolio
  • Configure and optimise switches, gateways, access points and related network components
  • Document processes, standards and technical solutions to ensure long-term scalability and consistency

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, IT or a related discipline
  • Experience working with industrial networks within an automation or manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of PROFINET, Ethernet-based bus systems and IIoT protocols
  • Solid understanding of industrial networking principles
  • CCNA certification or equivalent networking knowledge would be advantageous
  • Good German and English language skills
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem solving
