This position is based in the Controls Engineering department and reports to the Engineering Manager. You will define and communicate product vision, manage software development priorities, and ensure control software solutions are delivered to the highest standards while meeting customer and business requirements.

Responsibilities:
* Develop and communicate a clear product vision aligned with customer requirements and business objectives.
* Manage and prioritise product backlogs based on project demands, stakeholder feedback, and business goals.
* Act as the primary liaison between customers, engineering teams, and software developers.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define software requirements, technical specifications, and user stories.
* Lead project reviews, internal showcases, and stakeholder presentations.
* Conduct and approve software testing, including regression testing, to ensure quality and functionality.
* Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain product competitiveness and innovation.

Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
* 7-10 years of experience in automation, controls engineering, or a related field, preferably within the material handling industry.
* Strong experience with HMI development, particularly Ignition platforms.
* Proficiency in PLC programming, including Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems.
* Strong understanding of industrial control systems, automation technologies, and control theory.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively.
* Preferred experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies, product backlog management, acceptance criteria definition, robotics, vision systems, and motion control technologies.
