Software Manager

We're looking for Senior DevOps Engineer with good leadership experience. The position is based in France, Lyon or Lille with 1 day of remote work. In this role, you'll have a chance to work on deign, reliability and evolution fo company's infrastructure and systems while collaborating with leading brands in commerce and industry. You will be delivering high-performance solutions across robotics software, focusing on topics related to architecture, automation and quality. You will work closely with development and project teams - you will also serve as a cross-functional DevOps expert, ensuring best practices, system performance, and the professional development of the teams.

Your Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure, Systems, and Reliability
  • Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of the infrastructure and protocols of the company's robotic and software systems.
  • Design, architect, and deploy scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructures using the latest technologies.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of systems in production and at client sites.
  • Participate in the prototyping, testing, and commissioning phases of infrastructure technologies, including at client sites.
  • Provide technical support to project teams during on-site deployments and resolve associated infrastructure issues.
  • Automation, Quality, and Continuous Improvement
  • Promote an Infrastructure as Code approach by automating infrastructure and systems tasks to replace manual administration actions.
  • Design, develop, and implement new features to continuously improve system quality and reduce the development-to-production lifecycle.
  • Establish and enforce code review and testing mechanisms to guarantee a high level of quality.
  • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex incidents, implementing preventative actions to avoid their recurrence.

DevOps Culture and Collaboration

  • Fully integrate operational functions within development teams.
  • Automate and integrate processes that enable internal teams to independently deploy the infrastructure required for applications.
  • Develop and maintain templates, standards, reporting tools, and documentation to empower developers and operators to independently use deployment tools.
  • Act as the DevOps expert across all company projects.

Leadership and Organization

  • Ability to independently manage complex tasks on a variety of topics within your area of ​​expertise.
  • Mentor and support junior profiles in their skills development.
  • Ensure compliance with company processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and efficiency in project management.
  • Conduct continuous technological monitoring to propose innovative and relevant solutions.

Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Fluency in English and French, both spoken and written.
  • Strong team spirit and excellent collaboration skills.
  • Significant experience with cloud environments, ideally AWS.
  • Ability to develop scripts and tools in Bash and Python, with a good command of Ansible.
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux
  • Autonomy, flexibility, and a strong results orientation, with a proven ability to achieve objectives.
  • Good command of containerization technologies (Docker or CRI runtime).
  • Knowledge of code management tools, source code repositories, and CI/CD
  • Ability to formalize, structure, and write clear and understandable technical specifications.

Desired assets:

  • Advanced degree in computer engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with development platforms.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with GitLab (repos, CI/CD, pipelines).
  • Experience in at least one additional programming language.
  • Experience working in Agile teams.
  • Prior experience in development platform environments.
