Project buyer

We are looking for a Project Buyer responsible for the procurement activities in Poland, as well as other international projects. This role includes also the ownership of assigned commodity groups (e.g. steel structures,; small parts technology, etc.) and managing supplier qualifications and audits in Poland and surrounding countries.

Your tasks

  • Lead contract negotiations incl. contract drafting for project contracts on steel structures, roof and cladding, machinery, equipment and components as well as related external services (procurement of trades)
  • Prepare requests for quotations (RFQs) for project materials and review, validate, and implement resulting orders in the ERP system
  • Monitor supplier performance and conduct supplier evaluations, risk analysis and development measures within assigned commodity groups
  • Identify opportunities to improve competitiveness and optimize costs
  • Optimize processes within your area of responsibility in coordination with your supervisor

Your profile

  • Several years of professional experience in project procurement or in the procurement of Capital Expenditures, preferably in mechanical or plant engineering
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement, sourcing, and supplier management processes within ERP systems
  • University degree in Industrial Engineering, (Technical) Business Administration, or a comparable field
  • Very good command of English, Polish and German (min. B2).
  • High level of initiative, strong commitment, and execution focus, combined with creativity in finding solutions when challenges arise, stress resistance, effective negotiation skills, and a cooperative team mentality
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approx. 15-20%, mainly Central and Eastern Europe)
