Test Technician Required to work for electronics manufacturer Based in Bedford

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform functional testing of electronic assemblies, PCBs, and finished products.
  • Diagnose and fault-find down to component level on analogue and digital electronic circuits.
  • Use test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analysers, and power supplies.
  • Record test results, repair actions, and non-conformances in accordance with company procedures.
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
  • Liaise with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure all work complies with quality standards, ESD procedures, and health and safety requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in electronic test based work
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills to component level.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Experience using:
    • Oscilloscopes
    • Digital multimeters (DMM)
    • Signal/function generators
    • Bench power supplies
    • Logic analysers (desirable)
  • Good attention to detail and methodical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Info

  • Hours: 0800-1645 Mon-Thurs, plus Fri 0800-1230.
  • Start Date: ASAP
