We are currently seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Workshop Assembler to join a specialist engineering team based in East London. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled assembler with a strong mechanical and electrical background to work on high-quality, precision-built equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete assembly, testing, and quality checking of specialist products, ensuring they meet strict technical and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble complex mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment from start to finish

  • Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings

  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively

  • Carry out testing, adjustments, and inspections on completed builds

  • Complete production records, quality documents, and testing reports

  • Identify and report faults with components or assembly processes

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment

  • Work closely with the wider production team to achieve targets

  • Support continuous improvement activities and process development

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical assembly

  • Ability to understand and work from engineering drawings and instructions

  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical test equipment

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

  • Good organisational skills with accurate documentation practices

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Experience:

  • Engineering qualification (Level 2/3 Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing)

  • Engineering apprenticeship background

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Engineering Manufacture or Performing Engineering Operations
