Stores & Procurement Coordinator urgently required for a leading manufacturing business based in Aldershot, This is an excellent opportunity for an all rounder! The role is very varied and will require someone with both the experience within procurement and also the hands on stores duties aswell including the heavy lifting, FLT operation, stock checks etc. This role is to support the efficient operation of both the Stores and Procurement functions by managing material flow, raising and processing purchase orders, and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Ensuring materials availability, stock accuracy, and timely purchasing to support production demands, You will be a key component to the business and will be required to Respond to internal and external queries relating to materials and purchasing.
Stores & Materials Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and book in raw materials, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Manage material flow in and out of the workshop, supporting production requirements.
- Prepare and issue materials (billet/bar) to the shop floor.
- Maintain accurate stock records and support cycle counts and stock takes.
- Raise job cards and ensure traceability with material certification (in conjunction with Inspection).
- Support general workshop organisation and housekeeping (e.g., skips, storage areas).
- Conduct basic material checks
- Assist with movement of parts and support expediting activities when required.
Procurement & Purchasing responsibilities:
- Create and process purchase orders (transitioning responsibility from Inspection).
- Liaise with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules.
- Build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
- Support demand planning and manage material shortfalls.
- Track supplier performance (e.g., OTDIF) and escalate issues where required.
- Ensure ERP system accuracy for purchasing and inventory data.
- Support cost control initiatives and identify opportunities for savings.
