Global CAD Design Manager - offering global team leadership, CAD transformation strategy, and innovation in design automation.
Salary: €80,000 - €100,000 gross per year.
Location: Kortrijk area, Belgium.
The employer specialises in the automation and warehouse automation industry, and is a leading international organisation known for its innovation-driven approach and investment in digital engineering transformation. They have an exciting opportunity for a Global CAD Design Manager to join their team. This position is well-suited to a strategic and hands-on leader who is looking to drive global CAD standardisation and lead the transition towards advanced 3D and automated design environments. This position is based in the Engineering Department and reports to the Head of Engineering. You will lead the global CAD function, ensuring high-quality, efficient drawing production while driving innovation, digitalisation, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and structure the global CAD organisation, aligning resources with business priorities.
- Define and implement the global CAD roadmap, including transition to 3D and parametric design. Standardise and govern commercial, technical, and installation drawing processes.
- Drive digitalisation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure quality, consistency, and timely delivery of CAD outputs across projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align drawings with technical and operational needs.
- Requirements:
- Proven experience managing CAD teams within automation, warehouse automation, or industrial environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise in AutoCAD and understanding of 3D design tools.
- Experience with CAD standardisation, automation, and process optimisation. Strong leadership, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in project-driven, cross-functional environments.
- Fluent in English; willingness to travel (~10%).
